With 25+ years of experience in the employee benefits area, Tom Fuller brings to DS+B an abundance of knowledge. Past positions as a trust accountant, auditor and plan controller have established Tom as an expert in the areas of compliance and client services. In addition, Tom is a proven record keeper with aptitude for technical detail and operational consistency.
Tom provides ongoing communication to his small to midsized business clients for the complete picture of their employee benefit plan administration, so they can focus on their business. “I put my clients at ease that they can rely on me to track deadlines, make sure they’re in compliance and doing things the right way,” says Tom.
When questions arise, Tom is able to help them make sense of the complex employee situations and provide timely advice. “I’m responsive to my clients’ questions, getting them answers quickly. Sometimes there are unique employee circumstances such rehires, adjusting contributions, rollovers, plan valuations, eligibility, the list goes on. So I’m able to filter what they need to know so my clients don’t have to invest a lot of time with managing their retirement plans. They’re busy running their companies so I handle questions and deadlines for them,” says Tom.
Outside of the Office
In his spare time, Tom is an avid outdoorsman and loves fishing, boating and being up North. In the winter months, Tom is in a bowling league with his son and family. “I’m competitive, but my son has easily passed me up.”
