Jim Stern has 35+ years experience advising small and medium sized businesses on accounting information systems technology. “I’m personally connected to the success of my clients’ accounting systems. I make sure that we provide timely training, support and on-boarding as they hire new accounting staff so their accounting systems continue to provide accurate reporting without disruption,” says Jim. “We understand that the business owner and management teams need this information to make decisions.”
Jim routinely collaborates with other DS+B service professionals to “make sure the technical accounting systems part of the puzzle is solved. As our clients grow or change, their accounting systems can become inadequate. We look for ways to improve the efficiency, accuracy and security they need to run their business effectively.”
Jim is an expert at managing systems implementation projects focusing on accounting, financial reporting, inventory management, e-commerce, e-payment and PCI compliance. He works with clients in manufacturing, distribution, grocery, healthcare, restaurants and franchisees. Jim also advises small business clients on strategic and tactical IT planning, budgeting and IT operations management. His technical experience includes Windows network management, LAN and WAN design and management, iSCSI SANs, VMware, Symantec SEP, Commvault Simpana, CCH ProSystems applications, RIA PPC applications, Sage 100 (MAS 90 and MAS 200) accounting applications.
Jim manages and supports our client portal and secure email service which provides a fast and easy way for clients to provide information to DS+B service professionals. Jim is always on the lookout for better ways to use technology to benefit our client service and our clients’ businesses as well.
