Insights

Sean Boland (CPA) has more than 15 years of experience advising clients in accounting and business operations. As a well-connected professional in the Twin Cities, he continually uses his network of contacts to find solutions and opportunities for his clients. Sean joined the Firm in 1995, and is one of the executive committee members of DS&B.

Sean specializes in helping clients fully understand their financial statement picture – and make the right decisions to take advantage of opportunities. Working with all types of businesses since he began his CPA career has given Sean an expertise in guiding clients through some of their biggest life decisions. His well-rounded general business knowledge makes him a perfect advisor for small-to-medium sized businesses that do not carry a lot of overhead.

In addition, Sean works with both franchisors and franchisees to help them organize their financial information related to operations, structure and financing so they can properly plan for their business' future. He continually takes that extra step to make his client relationships more personal rather than just another "bean counter" experience.

Sean grew up in a large Irish Catholic family in St. Paul. As a Minnesotan, it is no surprise that he enjoys a number of outdoor activities, including hockey, motorcycles and hunting.
