October’s Gears and Gadget event was both inspiring and educational! The event featured an expert panel of executives and leaders who were recently recognized at the 2016 Manufacturing Awards by Minnesota Business Magazine.

One of the main themes of the discussion were leadership and management techniques that have proven successful for these manufacturing businesses. The panelists commented that periodically asking “why” questions can be great for your organization to retool management techniques towards innovation or to adjust to a changing workplace. The panelists cited popular methods like Entrepreneurial Operating Systems (EOS) and the books “Traction” and “Get a Grip” as helpful guides for accountability and goal setting. In other cases, the CEOs had years of previous training with Fortune 500 companies that they could adapt to a new organization, in a similar model to EOS. Thank you to the ‘Award Winning Manufacturing Panel’ for providing insights into your success.
