At DS&B, Sean Boland (CPA) heads up the firm's small business division. With more than a decade of experience in finance and small business, Sean continually finds solutions to opportunities versus creating issues for his clients.

Sean specializes in clients that can run their business but do not fully understand their financial picture. Working with small businesses since he began his CPA career has given Sean an expertise in guiding clients through some of their biggest life decisions. His well-rounded general business knowledge makes him a perfect advisor for businesses that do not carry a lot of overhead.

In addition, Sean works with both franchisors and franchisees to help them fully understand their financial information related to operations, structure and financing so they can properly plan for their business' future. He continually takes that extra step to make his client relationships more personal rather than just another "bean counter" experience.

Sean joined DS&B in 1995 after receiving his B.A. in business administration and accounting from the University of St. Thomas. He is an active member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Knight's of Columbus.

He grew up in a large Irish Catholic family in St. Paul. As a Minnesotan, it is no surprise that Sean enjoys a number of outdoor activities, including hockey, motorcycles and hunting.
