Paul Simons
Principal

Paul Simons (CPA and J.D.) joined DS&B in 1992 and is a leading authority on complex corporate tax matters. He has more than 20 years of experience in public accounting and business consulting.

Paul's practice concentrations include corporate transactions including business acquisitions, divestitures and restructuring; executive compensation including stock option planning; taxing authority dispute resolution; tax compliance and tax planning. Prior to joining DS&B, he practiced with a Big Four National accounting firm for more than ten years.

He received a B.S.B. in business administration, an M.B.A. and J.D., all from the University of Minnesota. Paul is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants, Hennepin County Bar Association and Minnesota State Bar Association. In addition, he is a board member of the University of Minnesota Goal Line Club and sits on the finance committee of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish.

In his spare time, Paul enjoys coaching and activities with his children, college football and cooking. He resides in Hastings, MN with his wife Karen, daughter Natalie and triplets Hannah, Grant and Ryan.
